Enjoy a ride through the picturesque landscapes of the Broye, breathtaking panoramas included.
Starting from Moudon, an ancient capital with a rich historical heritage, this ride takes you to Villars-le-Comte, where a detour to the viewpoint and its orientation table is a must: a breathtaking 360° panorama of the Plateau, the Alps and the Jura. The trail continues in direction of Cremin, a small farming village known for its swin golf course, before it reaches the charming village of Lucens and its imposing castle. The trail crosses the Broye, passes the church of Curtilles and then climbs above the valley before descending to Moudon.

Point of interest

 

1.  Swin-golf

An inexpensive family sport. It’s played like golf, but relaxedly in a stupendous landscape – after a mere 15 minutes of entertaining introduction.

2.  Château de Lucens

Perched on a hill, this military fortress is made of two distinct parts: the gothic castle (13th century) and the Bernese castle (16th century). Today in private hands, it can be rented for events. Temporarily open for visits.

3.  Musée Sherlock Holmes

Personal objects and memorabilia of Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of the famous private detective, render authentically the atmosphere of his work.

4.  Église Saint-Pierre-de-Marcens

This church founded in 1050 contains an 18th-century nave decorated with painted murals and a 16th-century choir, as well as a remarkable arcaded belltower.
